A home study is required for just about any adoption. If you live in Hawai'i and are adopting internationally, from another U.S. State, within Hawai'i; whether you are adopting through an agency, using an attorney, a facilitator or adopting from a state child welfare foster program, we can complete your home study and coordinate with your placing entity. For detailed home study information, time involved, and fees, click here.
A Family Tree runs the Ka Makana domestic adoption program. This program aims to support local pregnant women as they consider whether to parent or place their child for adoption. We work with prospective adoptive families within Hawai'i, and provide comprehensive adoption service from beginning to end. We also support families in Foster Care Adoptions. For detailed domestic adoption information, click here.
Following the placement of a child into a new family, most adoptions require a minimum of two (2) follow up reports. A Family Tree can complete this supervision and reporting services for any adoption. We will work with your placing entity to ensure all requirements are handled. Click here for more.
At A Family Tree we are huge fans of children leaving foster care to find their forever families. We support www.AdoptUSKids.org and the good work they do to change lives. Families wishing to consider adopting a foster child can rely to complete necessary local paperwork and to provide on-going support. Click here for more information on waiting children.
Our Ka Makana program supports pregnant women from beginning through their placement or parenting decision and beyond. We offer no-pressure guidance and professional insights. Our goal is for each woman to make her best decision. More info here.
